I read the following from an article published by Microchip:

Beyond the basics, linear regulators often offer additional
features: over-current protection, thermal protection, and
reversed polarity protection to name a few.

Do you know any linear regulator with integrated "reverse polarity protection" feature in the market?

Linear has a bunch of them.
