Does anyone remember where to find this soldering video
« on: May 22, 2017, 10:52:45 pm »
I'm trying to track down a dodgy soldering video to show someone.

Does anyone remember the dodgy china soldering video that show someone doing PCB assembly and soldering ICs on by flooding them with way too much solder to make a bridged mess. Then hitting the PCB on the bench to remove all the excess solder?

Anyone know the video i'm talking about?

Isn't that the way it's done in every Chinese factory?

I remember the video, but I don't know where to find it.  I have a feeling it was shot in Malaysia or somewhere, not China.

Can't say I recall seeing it ... but I know if I had, I would remember!!

I would hope they didn't try this with SMD ... unless all the components were glued down.

That's a lot of unnecessary work, solder flying everywhere,
and more work cleaning up  :--

Why not cable tie the boards via the screw holes to a clothes line,

and start wacking with a heavy duty wooden wok implement

and let gravity do it's thing.

Done!   :-+
