EEVblog hates Safari (on Mac OSX Lion btw) ??

Is it me, or is posting to the EEVblog forum problematic if you use Safari on MacOS X?

Reading or responding is no problem, put posting leaves me with a New post/topic window just sitting there after I click post.
I am using Firefox (on Mac OSX) to work around it.

Has anyone else seen this?

I think it is a known problem with the SMF forum, and I think it is a problem in the theme.

The other problem is that attachments do not download with the correct name in the recent Firefoxes.

Here is a SMF forum with a theme modified for Safara 4 and 5 compatibility - does it seem to work better on a MAC?

It does seem to handle attachments in Firefox much better then the current EEVBLOG theme.

I'm just using the standard SimpleMachines installation.

I just updated to Firefox 9.0.1 and that now fixes the attachment download problem - the downloads are not called "index.php" any more.

So at least Firefox is fully working again. Have you updated to the latest Safari (5.1.2 for snow leopard, 5.0.6 for leopard)?

I've started a couple topics. One was not too long ago so I'm sure I was running Lion and the latest version of Safari at the time. I don't recall having any problems.

Yup, this is Safari 5.1.2 running in Lion.

Ah well, not to worry, I have a workaround.

Had the same index.php problem in W7 64 with Mozilla 8.0.1  updated to 9.0.1 and it everything was OK :-)
