I wonder if they will sell the connectors? Could just get your own board made and buy a flir one. Or maybe they will sell sensor less boards in case you want to share a module between several projects.

i think it wasn't..... it's way too expensive compared to arduino. and furthermore arduino is pretty useless in terms of speed while handling any kind of camera.

The point is that Flir One is cheaper than the bare sensor from Sparkfun

The fact that people bought ~60 of the things shows there is a market for it. Just extract the sensor from a FLIR ONE if it really bothers you that people pay more for convenience. Nate's got it figured out.

They're linking to your site for information on the module.  I think they should pay you a commission.

But if you buy it at Sparkfun they took the sensor out of the useless case for you :-)

Forget extracting the sensor if you just want one.  $250 for the flirone, $50 for a breakout board, smells like time for arbitrage, and then sell the battery or other scrap from tearing it apart as replacement parts on ebay too.   

And hope that sparkfun doesnt see that the demand is decent, buy a bunch direct from FLIR at a good discount and pull the rug out from under you :p
