Also, I wish people (and organisations) would stop using the word "hack" out of context. Re-purposing some piece of Ikea furniture for an unintended purpose is not "hacking", doing something more efficiently is not "life hacking", neither is reheating pizza on a fry pan instead of the microwave.
First everything was "viral" now using some common sense and a bit of creativity is a "hack". This world is too dumb for me.
The word 'hack' is used in many ways. Hollywood's 'hacker' has a different meaning than maker's 'hacker'.
For the makers community, a hack is when someone look deeper into things or phenomenons, and understand or discover the inner and very basic properties of that 'something', rather than taking for granted the declared and mainstream properties of that 'something'. Doing so, the hacker can later hijack the main usage of that 'something' into a new and innovative way.
Is there any other word for the above situation?
