Plastic Buckle?
« on: July 17, 2017, 02:57:06 pm »
Hi
I know many people here know many products.  :-+
On a Product the Strap is to short.  :-\ I know there is an Option to gut it and replace it but I dont want to because I need it also short.
The best option is when I buy an unused pair of Buckle and some Strap and make my own replacement.
The called: utx flex m-ss-1 1/2"
I found the Company who make it: http://www.utxgroup.com and write some "distributor" who should sell it.
The webpage from the Company is shutdown and dont look good.

Does anyone where I could a genuine spare part?

Does it have to be that exact part?  Lots of companies make those sorts of buckles.  Just searching for "1.5" plastic buckle" brings up several options on Amazon, etc.  Adding the term "webbing" instead of strap may help.  You could also try an outdoor supply store, they often sell replacement buckles for backpacks and such (in the US, this would be REI or Hudson Trail, for instance).

I'm not sure what buckle you are looking for but if it is just a 1-1/2" plastic style, here's one:
https://www.countrybrookdesign.com/buckles-plastic-flat-side-release-ykk-1-1-2-inch.html

SCUBA shops tend to carry this kind of thing.

If this is the right style, you can Google for 'ykk plastic buckle' to find other sources.
