Title: help current transfer characteristics of BJTs
Post by: uranium235 on July 08, 2011, 12:29:35 pm
guys i need help i want to know how to do this kind of experiment

current transfer characteristics of BJTs

   after performing this experiment the student will be able to
   -- show that leakage current is neglible, and
   -- confirm that CE current gain is constant

using 2n2907 PNP transistor

thanks alot in advance

Someone didn't pay attention in class and didn't read his textbook, eh?

Like most BJTs, nothing is constant.  Hfe varies with them, collector current and of course, base drive.  Likewise leakage will vary with temp and voltage.  I don't think that you could show either of your assertions.

go to the library and look for a transistor book by either Milton Kiver or Delton Horn. But there are lots of others as well.
