« on: September 20, 2018, 07:33:13 am »
Won't it be nice to have an android app which asks you your screen size, the first time you run it and then displays the actual size of traces of components? :o :-/O Note: i can do the graphic design but i'll need a programmer

you can get the actual screen size (resolution and dpi) from the OS so no need to enter it manually :)
besides that, cool idea!

Can we please not call Applications an "App". We aren't teenage girls or hipsters. The English language is already bastardised enough to cater for the lazy and moronic.

On a technicality, would this not simply be a vector image displaying program with panning, always locked to 1:1 scaling?

Isn't "App" a shortening of "Application"? Just like "aren't" is a shortening of "are not"?

Really activates the almonds... [emoji848]

Have you written to Apple about how they mislabeled their App Store yet? Or Google? Damn those leading technology companies for getting their own terminology wrong. I guess they must've never noticed!

This sounds like an awesome idea and I'd definitely like to contribute in anyway.
It doesn't even sound that complicated to do, although I do have to admit that my experience regarding software on mobile devices is very limited.

I couldn't care less what they think. It's not terminology, it's marketing wank.
