I find it absolutely amazing, how large and clear the new displays have become.
Great Video.

Great Video.
You're right, looking again, realizing that this was filmed in direct sun daylight, and off angle, those displays are truly killer bright.
And they need to be as flying above clouds, during the day, that sun is always there....

Crazy how massive those planes are, especially when all the panels and overhead compartments etc are missing it looks even bigger.  So much tech in there too, it's like a space ship.

Is it me or the cockpit is painted light blue/green, like old soviet aircraft?

Really interesting - thanks Dave

Here are some more details

http://www.aircraft.airbus.com/aircraftfamilies/passengeraircraft/a350xwbfamily/a350-1000/

A few months ago I heard a story on PBS about the 787 Dreamliner and that the body is built of carbon fiber.  Because fiber does not suffer from metal fatigue they are able to increase the inside pressure (lower altitude) and this reduces jet lag.

So I was curious if the A350-1000 had a fiber shell and it does.

I wonder if anyone here has flown in a 787 and noticed the effect it has on jet lag?

I'm curious how much those "avionic grade" water buckets cost ... Probably 10 times premium, just because it is put on a plane  ^-^

Then there's the eerie realization that they put a system in place that transfers measurement and monitoring data to the ground in real time, in case the aircraft crashes.

Engineer: "Sir, the aircraft crashed"
Manager: "Damn! Did we get all of the data?"
E: "Yes we did."
M: "How about the crew?"
E: "Didn't make it"
M: "Shit"
