So, we just moved this month in the Eindhoven region and am kinda trying to hit the ground running with some projects.
What I'm looking for are some:
 - nice local online electronics shops I can buy electronic components from (passives, ICs).
  - some local physical electronics stores,  for when I need to buy maybe some plugs, cables,  maybe some jellybean ICs
 - maybe a recycling center or some kind of scrap yard (if something like this exists)I can rummage through for old electronics stuff (old industrial equipment,  medical equipment.....lasers maybe? :D ok, maybe that's too much of a stretch)

So, if anyone is interested in sharing ->🍺 (beer)
Thanks

Welcome to The Netherlands!
I can give some suggestions on online shops, not sure what local online means, do they have to be close to Eindhoven?
Here is were I buy stuff (beside the well known Ebay and Aliexpress)

https://www.eoo-bv.nl/
Great for jelly bean stuff, also offers € 3,50 shipping for small order that fit trough your letterbox. Good if you want some parts quick.

https://www.reichelt.de
Huge assortiment, good prices. Always ships in a large box, so no letterbox delivery.

https://www.conrad.nl
Great assortiment, prices mostly higher than Reichelt, but you can score some deals in the sale. Site is a bit confusing, the search does not work very well.
Always ships in a large box, so no letterbox delivery.

https://www.baco-army-goods.nl/
More a dump store, do not let the name fool you, they have lots of electronics stuff.

Have fun!

Thank you,  these look really nice. Much appreciate it.

Well, for the physical store,  close by would be something like in or really close to the city (15 minutes cycling distabce from the center maybe),  for that bit of kit you knew you had but somehow you can't find it and need yo hop to the store to ge it  :-DD

Ps: i'm free on friday evening for that beer,  if you want to take me up on the offer :D

I am not in the Netherlands, but I have bought a few good things from the ebay equivalent Marktplaats.
https://www.marktplaats.nl/

There are 3 kinds of people in this world, those who can count and those who can not.

You should also know about www.coolblue.nl for consumer stuff, and Amazon UK and DE delivers to NL. Probably FR also.

And check-out www.circuitsonline.net . They have a list of (online) shops per city.

Your best bet is probable to buy from online stores. Physical electronics shops are very rare in the NL.
Register a company and you can purchase from Farnell, RS, etc.
There are small lies, big lies and then there is what is on the screen of your oscilloscope.

For registering a company the magical word is "Kamer van Koophandel".  I think registration is free these days

There is only one real physical electronics component store left in Eindhoven: www.brigatti.nl

Private persons can purchase from farnell on https://muxtronics.nl/onderdelen/ as you can't normally order without a company account on there.

For online shopping there is lots of choice, popular ones are conrad.nl, reichelt.nl, eoo-bv.nl, etc.

I typically get passive jellybean stuff from Ebay, that is if I can suffer the quality.

For all other stuff I look up parts in Farnell and order via muxtronics. It's the cheapest way to get components from Farnell; sinuss often has an additional 20%+ markup added to it.
