Kickstarter for charity - electronic school donations?

Hi

Is there a type of Kickstarter for a charity?  I would like to come up with a way to fund electronic school supplies to a third world country.  I am thinking about either Peru or Kenya.

I would like a way to fund them electronic hardware for a school environment for both the students and school.

I support Kiva but this is for loans that are re-paid.  Not the same.
