What ever for? It might be handy to have one socket like that for big machine tools or something but I can't think of any reason I'd want more than 240V for domestic stuff. It would just make everything more expensive.

I guess that would help evolution to sort out darwin award winners. If there's some fault, it'll be a real bang, not just a bit of tickling.

Why not just feed the 7200v straight into houses, the hydro company would save a lot on transformers... and perhaps pass the savings on to the consumer. (hahaha)  :-DD
