It is no challenge, if you can't buy it to fix it.  UK hates Europe. Doh!  |O  :palm:

Why are you complaining? After the UK leaves the EU, they won't be taking a good portion of their GDP with them.

Now off the topic of politics which I shouldn't even be talking about.

"Interesting" is a word that CAN be used to describe the task needing to be undertook to return that machine to working order.

Insane is also another word, but if you think it's worth it, go for it.
I forget who I am sometimes, but then I remember that it's probably not worth remembering.

Give me a schematic and a copy of the PCB layout around U131  and I'll have a go. I wonder why he only wants to post to the UK though because sending parcels anywhere inside the EU is a no brainer.
Should you find yourself in a chronically leaking boat, energy devoted to changing vessels is likely to be more productive than energy devoted to patching leaks.

Frrom the schematics U131 is an LM339, used to drive JFETs from input switching. So the good thing is this part does not need to be low leakage, but chances are high that there are also some of the JFETs broken - worst case the CPLD is gone too.

The multimeter powers up with no errors displayed after switch on.
There is some internal PCB damage as can be seen from the photos.
