I have to order a few items from the Keysight parts department that will total 20 dollars. The minimum order is 50 dollars though so I need to find some other goodies to order. Obviously there are a million great items but they are all $$$. Anyone have any thoughts on something useful for an electronics lab that isn't too expensive, maybe some useful part that Keysight magically has a reasonable price on?

Hi

A lot depends on what you have around and need to keep running. Scope probe parts are a staple *if* you have Keysight probes.

Not many, lol. That is why I am looking for something special that happens to be reasonably priced. The craziest I saw so far was a small piece of foam for 200 bucks.

I was going to suggest a flexible shaft grabber, part 5061-7391, then I saw the price :(

There was a comedic Agilent part number which was two or three cable ties packed in a plastic zip lock bag, not as outrageously priced as those grabbers though.

The binding posts they use on their power supplies are around $12-15 each, if you would ever have any use for those.

Yep, it looks like one of those will be on the list. Just bought an E3630A power supply that needs a red binding post.

Hi

Any broken power switches running around on gear? (checking the 3478 sitting in front of me as I type...)

They are not be in the "cheap" range, but worth checking.

Yes the one in front of me is ok. They seem to get the switch nub broken off on a regular basis.

Fuses, particularly HRC if you have any of their hand held DMM's (they're actually reasonably priced, so I get my spares directly from them). Didn't run into a $50 minimum though.  :-//

Actually, I'm surprised no one else has suggested this yet.  :o  :P

Maybe a new VNA?  Should easily fill the $50 limit.

I'd need them to give me one heck of a trade-in credit on my current VNA!

Hi

Maybe the credit scales by the *weight* of the pile of gear traded in :)
