This is actually one of the best soldering tutorials out there though they break it up into so many segments it gets a bit tiring.  A redo that goes into the scientific details as this does a bit and brings things up to date would be really helpful.

I agree the tutorial videos are some of the best ever produced, I think Pace started out in 1958 and are still around today. They may have some newer tutorials but I will have to poke around for them.
