I think the music IS the visuals and vice-a-versa... i.e. you feed in the audio to the XY and you get the image... I'm not entirely sure.

There is also this one... (which did not have input AFAIK from my relative)... which I prefer...

The second one could be made this way. I really doubt this for your relatives one.
