Pixel, stretched out in her 'road kill' pose (she often sleeps like this!):

I swear this cat has bones made of silicone rubber!

If it jams, force it.  If it breaks, you needed a new one anyway...

The ferals from next door. Sadly none of them survived the cat flu they got. mother though is fine, if I can get her neutered I might keep her, even though she is a little twitchy, but is becoming used to people now. Getting her used to sleeping in a cat carrier to make the trip to the vet easier.

That's sad - they look like they were adorable kittens.   :-\  Good luck with getting momma cat settled down.  With some patience she'll likely come around.

Aren’t cats’ limbs permanently dislocated or something, making them super supple?

Hers certainly seem to be!!  She often lies in a position with a half twist in her back and her hind feet pointed so she could kick herself in the head.  She had actually UNtwisted a little before that first picture after she woke up when I turned the light on, while I ducked out to get the phone to take the pictures.  (And as an aside, would anyone twenty years ago have thought we'd be saying "I want to take a photo - let me grab my phone"?)

Cats don't have bones in their shoulders (Clavicles) but rubbery bands instead. That is why cats can jump from great heights and still land without injuries.

The designers may have, but the general public - very much "No".

What makes my head spin is wondering how that statement would be written in 20 years' time.....

:-DD  It's not a big leap from 'Pixel' to 'Pretzel'...  I think the twisty one might have just acquired a new nickname.  And Pretzel is certainly easier to say than Road Kill Kitteh...
