Pspice: Convergence problem
« on: October 03, 2010, 08:33:45 am »
Hi,
i've problems to simulate this circuit in orcad pspice:

it says:
ERROR -- Convergence problem in transient analysis at Time = 289.3E-06
Time step = 196.1E-15, minimum allowable step size = 1.000E-12

These supply currents failed to converge:

I(X_U3.xinstlm338t.VV38) = -58.24pA \ -55.71pA

what's happen?

thanks, bye

The AC sources appear to be both in phase.

Set them to be 180 degrees out of phase of each other.
You can do anything with the right attitude and a hammer.

It won't work with the AC sources 180o out of phase. The AC sources are connected in series with each other with the 0V connected to the tap.

The circuit is correct as it is, although I'd question the series resistance and filter capacitor values.

Maybe the LM337 dislikes the (ideal?) C16 at its output with zero ESR?

Might it be a little bit quicker to breadboard the design?  ;)
