Should i go to Chinese LED show this week?
« on: September 19, 2018, 07:19:38 pm »
Hello,
I  am British but my friend in China has asked me to come to China this week for the LED China show in Shanghai…
https://www.ledchina-sh.com/en-us/
He says he will show me LED streetlights which he says he can sell through myself in UK. He says I will make £30 per LED streetlight sold  in UK.
Do you think many other British people have  been invited over by the Chinese  for the same show?
I don’t want to waste the Air Fayre.

I'm sure it would be interesting, but do you already have a visa for China?
If not it'sprobably too late to get one in time, unless there is a short-term limited area visa on entry as they have in Shenzen

You are covering old and familiar ground here Treez! ... https://www.eevblog.com/forum/chat/wish-to-make-bring-electric-toy-cars-to-market/msg1672160/#msg1672160

Your Chinese friend is going to land you with exactly the same problems as with his 'Toys', probably worse. You as the importer will become responsible for all EMC and Safety approvals, customer returns, reliability, Tax and other issues!  :palm:
Best Regards, Chris

Maybe time to set your sight beyond streetlights...
