So how was Wyong this year?
« on: February 23, 2014, 02:17:30 pm »
Not having any spare cash, due to needing to save up for something that has to be done, put me off the long drive. Too frustrating to walk around and just look.

Anyone have any great scores, and want to post pics? So I can feel not totally left out.

Well that's sad.
An acquaintance who went to Wyong wrote to me:
Quote
I did a run to Wyong, got there at 9:30 and left at 13:30, not much there, got a back pack to put the 320 for $10 and that was all, very few stands and not many people."

The weather wasn't rainy unlike 2013. So why the slim showing?
My guess - pretty much everyone is short of money. General economic hardship, despite bullsh*t official figures pretending everything is rosy.

Anyone else who did or didn't go, care to comment?

I really hope that tradition doesn't die.

I went and posted a video. The flea market was packed from 7am and tapered off about 11am. The inside stalls were the same as last year. No shortage of people really.
At some points I had people 3 layers deep surrounding my car boot.

Thanks for the video. Looks like a typical showing to me, so I don't know why my friend thought it was sparse.

Heh. Even just from the quick scan of the car boot sales it's obvious I'd have felt miserable about being broke if I'd gone.

Any more Hung Chang scopes? Gotta love them. Though mine (Tenma branded) has been great so far.

Wanted to be there to get one of those scopes for those prices, but I am out too far (almost 10k miles) from where the event was.
Will think about it.

Not much of these in Texas. *sigh*
I'm not saying we should kill all stupid people. I'm just saying that we should remove all product safety labels and let natural selection do its work.
