It's think that smoke must be some really strong drug that eliminates pain...

Well, as a real solderer female told me, never wear tights and a miniskirt when soldering. (Not that I've tried it) That is a sure recipe for YIKES!!! and prancing round the room in pain.  :scared:

I always do my soldering in shorts, just too hot in Florida for long pants.  I have learned to ignore the pain.  For some reason, though, SWMBO is offended by the smell of the burning hair.  Go figure.

Can someone tell me where I can find a soldering iron like these? Looks practical and easy to use :-DD

Just mislabeled.  Documentary evidence of lightning fast super technician doing diagnosis while magic smoke is still present.  Forceps used to keep guilty component from escaping.

Hope that's not line voltage, to be resting his hand so close to the terminals like that!    That meter is just in "eco mode".  :-DD

That looks more like a DIN based control panel.  Motors and stuff.   Though I have seen electrical panels mounted sideways.  IMO I think it uses up too much space that way, I prefer vertical with the main at the bottom so it's easier to reach in an emergency.  But it really depends on the house and how the hydro comes in.  Often they place it whichever way is more convenient for that.

In a country outside of the USA?

But...that's still vertical on the wall. The one above is clearly horizontal and on the floor as the meter is sitting on it.

Yes, but it's not a breaker panel.  It's some sort of machine chassis that happens to have some breakers on it.  There are a few breakers, but most of the other stuff looks like terminal blocks and relays/contactors and whatnot, all mounted on DIN rail.  Wouldn't surprise me if it were mounted horizontally.

If it jams, force it.  If it breaks, you needed a new one anyway...

Yeah think that's a control cabinet.  It may even be on a work bench.  Once everything is routed then it's mounted on a board and shipped to the customer and then connected up.

Hahaha is it supposed to be soldering? Maybe they are shorting out the probe and melting it.  :-DD :-DD
I told my friends I could teach them to be funny, but they all just laughed at me.

That's what happens when you probe mains connected equipment without being mindful of ground loops...

Ok, confession time.
A while ago a TV crew came to my workplace, and wanted some shots of "people looking busy". They had an eye on this particular piece of electronics and wanted me to fiddle with it, so I took a screw driver to "adjust" the trimpot, but in hindsight, the shot was probably much to wide to catch the trimpot, so it probably just looks like I'm very concerned why a board doesn't work while I screw around it.
The segment aired on national TV.  :-[

From now on I'll be turning on the extractor fan before I probe something with my scope!

that's what happens when your probe tip is too wide : the magic smoke escapes ...  :-DD

I am fairly sure that the quality of their "100% online" education matches the quality of their advertising. That's what you get with "100% online" - no labs so nobody to show you how a scope probe works ...
