Weird behaviour youtu.be links

Do you see below one or two screens of Dave's dumpster find video?
I see only the first one, for the second one my browser leaves an empty area in the post.

The first one uses the www.youtube.com link, the second one has the short form youtu.be
Changing the youtu.be link to http instead of https doesn't seem to affect, and neither disabling adblock, etc.

Update: that must be an issue due to the EEVblog website HTTPS-ation. When using IE to view the page, it also by default doesn't show the second screen when in 'only secure content is displayed' mode. After clicking 'Show all content' also the second screen is shown.
Same for Chrome if you click on 'Load unsafe scripts' in the URL bar.
