Click bait misleading title from Big Clive - Should be called $4 dollar smoke detector teardown. Very interesting nonetheless.

Without a functional low battery alarm I would say it's absolutely not clickbait. Those things are trash if they have no way of alerting for a dying battery.

Sure the device isn't reliable, but from the title I was expecting the unit being torn down would be the fire starter.
