Weird text rendering bugs in LibreOffice

Just discovered this bug recently. I never had this problem before, but starting from (at least) 5.0.3.4, italic font rendering in LibreOffice seems to be buggy.
Attached is a comparison of Libre and Open, both Writer program, both Times New Roman font, both 12 pt, both 310% scale.

It can be seen clearly that LibreOffice is not doing well. Only lower case are affected, and only very few characters are affected.
It seems to be only affecting Windows platforms, as both my Win7 64 and Win10 64 are affected. My Ubuntu 15.10 64 seems to be okay.

Anyone has any ideas why this happens?

I'm using Version: 5.0.0.5  on windows (x64).

I can't reproduce on that version.

I heard they released 5.1 the other day.

Lol, I'm still using 4.1 but it works fine, so I see no reason to change.

More often than not, it's a video driver issue. Try updating the driver. I've also run into an issue with faster cards running in slower slots (such as PCI Express x16 card in a x1 slot) or just overheating/failing video cards.

Hi, running 5.0.4.2 on 64-bit PC and I don't see any problems with rendering italics, tried font sizes 8 to 20.
