Not on fashion but thought I would mention. The best glasses I've ever had are the cheapies (typically CR-39 lens material is the cheapest you can get); s you pay more for a lens material, you're paying for higher refraction index to get a thinner lens, not optical quality (which typically goes down with refraction index).
They don't tell you that CR-39 has the highest optical quality (Abbe value), highest scratch resistance, lowest reflectance out of any plastic lens.
The impact resistance, and UV blocking good too.
Abbe value is a measure of chromatic aberration btw.... If you're in front of the monitor and look at the screen at the corner of your lens (with glasses on as normal) and you see color shifting on lines... that's chromatic aberration.... can make a huge difference for some people.
The only downside for general use, they are the thickest as the refraction index is lowest. I have a a correction factor of 4.25... if your much above that then i'd go to a thinner lens. CR-39 at 4.25 might bee too thick for some people, but for me chromatic aberration drives me nuts.
I hear freeform figured lens are awesome, but haven't tried them yet.
