Basic Functionality Request--Insert Table Tool
« on: August 12, 2018, 02:04:03 am »
I've been looking for an insert table command both for the schematic and PCB views.

It would be nice to be able to insert a text table for recording pinouts of a header on a schematic as one example. Up to now I've been writing my tables in Word, and importing them as an image into CS. This is very cumbersome and it would be nice to have this graphic functionality directly built in.

I've seen this in AD but can't find it in CS. It strikes me as a pretty basic tool that should be available.

I apologize if I missed it.

Regards,

Stuart

Try the simple Copy table in Word and Paste in Circuit Studio. If you Paste in Schematic it will be copied as  the table (image) if you Paste in the PCB layout it will keep only the text. Works better if copied from Excell.
