Another big auction, this time from Nvidia on March 8th, in the UK
http://bit.ly/1WSxVX1 (http://bit.ly/1WSxVX1)
Rohde and Schwarz, Anritsu, Agilent etc
-
The link is broken.
Edit: working one here (http://www.equipnet.com/auctions/exceptional-offering-of-electronic-test-measurement-equipment!-/754/?utm_source=EEVBlog&utm_medium=Banner&utm_campaign=nvidia020816).

What is that Agi scope like? Doesn't say it comes with any probes.
I'm guessing they were developing the Shield there?

There is an Agilent DSOX3000 scope
I'm guessing they were developing the Shield there?
Someone on twitter mentioned it must be the Icera fab?

-
If this was in Oz I'd be bigging on all sorts of stuff :'(
-
What caught your eye?
-
Sigh, first no Agilent competition, now this. Bad day to be in Australia :'(
-
The scope and MXG looks tempting.

There seems to be a lot of older Mobile communications test gear for 3.5-4G handsets which would be worth the price of a small house when new :P
All the nice usable gear will go for stupid prices so unless im missing something these auctions are really only good to watch.
-
All that mobile communications test gear cannot really be useful for anything else than it's intended purpose :(
Those power supplies, the multimeters and the power meter might be the only items that are worth getting but those are only a few.
-
I've registered but its a 3.5 hour drive to Bridgend to collect if I win anything.
-
Interesting
Thanks for the link

I have no idea what this is... http://www.equipnet.com/auctions/tescom-tc-5062c-6ghz-tem-cell_listid_469397/ (http://www.equipnet.com/auctions/tescom-tc-5062c-6ghz-tem-cell_listid_469397/)
But I think I want one.
Maybe it's a device for sharpening knives? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pyramid_power (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pyramid_power)
-
I think it is a small anechoic chamber.

A TEM cell is used for EMC testing - can be a much cheaper way of creating/detecting a fairly uniform EM field for small items thna a full anechoic shielded room

16% buyer's premium AND $20 (or £20 depending which page you look at) handling fee per item - what a bunch of piss-takers.
I doubt any of the useful high-end kit will go cheap, but I'd love to dive the dumpster
-
Yes, I expect the MXG will be at least £1k
-

You don't have my sympathy, with the kind well-stocked dumpster you have sitting on your doorstep I mean :-//
-
I sucks living at the bottom of the world and missing out on all these great things.
-
Know the feeling ... but I think I'd get into more trouble than I do already if it wasn't so.
-
Some more lots added - mostly boxes of components
-
How does shipping work on those kind of auctions? Do you need to sort that out yourself or can you ask them to handle it for you?
-
I think you have to collect it yourself. That means a trip to Bridgend!
Just had an email from them, my registration has been approved.
-
Anyone willing to let me join their auction? I can't since I don't have a company registered.

I'm registered with a company name of "private purchaser".
BTW in the UK you can legally call yourself any name you want, provided that you aren't doing it for fradulent purposes.
-
I gave them a call and they said that I could participate in the auctions even if I was not a company. Need to get some questions about shipping sorted but from the looks of things I'm not going to purchase anything!
-
Is anyone buying those E5810As and would be willing to sell me one for a good price? ;D
-
Auction has ended, didn't bid on anything. Wasn't much of a bargain on the items I was interested in.
Attached is a list of the final prices of the interesting items. The price is in the "Current" column in GBP.
-
Someone got a good deal on the DSOX3034A ( £1625), at least if they were look, and a lot of the components went for peanuts or got no bits.
Also some of the rack stuff went pretty cheap and may have had some bargains inside.
-
I bought 2 boxes of components - those Murata designs packs are about GBP 50,- each if you don't get them for free - so good deal for me I think.
-
BTW if anyone's going down there to collect it would be worth asking about any unsold lots. Also see if there's a dumpster!
-
Did not everything get sold today then? The racks and components sound interesting, looking at the price list above the appliances were way out of my £ league.
-
I'd hope those Xeon servers didn't sell for much being 1st generation Core. Dave picked up similar done time ago. Other than that, everything else probably sold for a reasonable amount.

Strange auction, does not post to the United Kingdom or any other European country!

Maybe it's the Australian embassy in Bath and they're not allowed to export to the UK.

Of course they do... (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Agilent-Keysight-E5810A-LAN-GPIB-Gateway-/291666672560) (hint: don't use ebay Australia...)

Good one! :-DD

There are two different ebay item numbers 301854900730 and 291666672560
The 291666672560 auction has already sold two and has best offers going back to January. So may not be the same gateways.

Okay, so you speak about that specific auction in particular and not about whether the seller in question is selling LAN/GPIB gateway models of the same type in Europe. Fair enough... (i can only speculate, but perhaps those LAN/GPIB gateway models are sourced from outside of the EU and lack CE markings. And the seller perhaps doesn't want to deal with potential hassles from customs offices of EU member states, might it be due to the value of the devices involved or due to the seller being based in UK/EU member state. But i am just speculating here...)

Yeah, racks of misc gear are often worth a shot, you can real nab bargains that way.
-
I think the two auctions are more to do with how ebay lists actions in different countries when you perform a search. eBay will not list items if your primary address is in an excluded country, it also does different things depending if you list postage specifically if specify postage for a country rather than just international.
The CE marking would not matter, unless comming from outside Europe and into Germany.

It's used gear so CE marking is not applicable

This is only true if the used gear is already in the EU.

just thought I would sing EquipNet's praises - so far so good. They are reasonably organised and arranged shipping for me for my items - and is now without charge holding it until after Easter so it does not get stuck over the holidays (mine included)
So best service I have had in the UK since moving back in Oct (yes great service and honesty is hard to find)
