I'll be there, same as last year, with my DIY audio preamp, dac, amp, spkrs and stuff.

a photo from last year; not my table, but one of my preamps was loaned-in:

that was actually nelson pass' table; I loaned him one of my preamps (thing with red digits on it), but the rest was all his gear.

he has both a DIY and a commercial side to his company.  the stuff that is machined front panels is likely the commercial stuff; but he often brings experimental DIY style spkrs to the show (I think those, pictured, are such).

Well - "Burning Amp" - my first thought was a literally burning amplifier when I read the Subject  :-DD
How would you do it? Running the amp at max. load until it smokes, or just pouring inflammable liquid over and ignite?

SCNR ;)

It'd be like Burning Man, but with more amps. :-DD

That's no fun.

This is the only way to do it...

the story of the event name is something along the lines of: someone said to one of the attendees, "if it doesn't work or sound good, at least it should catch fire for us!".  or something to that effect ;)
