Smart.IO is a hardware / software solution that allows an embedded system to build an app UI with no wireless or app coding. Simply add the Smart.IO hardware module via SPI, build your firmware with the Host Interface Layer library (source code available)  and generate a UI like this with just a couple dozen C function calls:
