The lecture tomorrow (Wed 17/8/16- 7.30pm for 8pm start) will be given by Graham Town. We invited him to talk on renewable energy (mostly solar) and RFI issues this generation produces....  The idea for this talk came from the April QST article "Can Home Solar Power and Ham Radio Coexist?"

Oh god... I just debugged a 3rd party customer's design that's making 10V spikes in the VHF band.  And they literally don't give a shit, they don't have to meet any EMC standard period (at least, that's what they said).

Also, that's a pretty damned Australian name, "Manly Warringah"...

It's a locality that covers the adjacent shires of Manly and Warringah.

Manly was named by Captain Arthur Phillip for the indigenous people living there, stating that "their confidence and manly behaviour made me give the name of Manly Cove to this place".
