$500 Lily Camera Drone
« on: May 12, 2015, 10:18:39 pm »
Although Lily camera drone is not an exact crowd funded project, it takes deep-discounted pre-orders and has fancy video and sketchy info on its features and performance. So it is kind of similar to those on KS and IGG...

It actually minds me of the most funded KS drone campaign Zano which seems to be on its way to make into the List of Dodgy Crowd Source Funded Projects :)

I saw a hands on review were they tossed the prototype into the air and it dropped to the ground - breaking into a thousand pieces..

It all seems theoretically possible, if your engineers are working for free ... the throw take off makes for good looks, but I can see how people might not wait for it to boot up before doing it so maybe not the best idea.
