Teardown of a iRBeacon

Hello everybody, I don't know precisly if Im right here, but ok.
Im currently trying to reversengineer a irbeacon.me, Indigogo site:www.indiegogo.com/projects/irbeacon-smarter-remote-for-a-smarter-home/, not
because I want to sell my own, because it is crap and works with a delay of like 2 secs.
So I took one of thes units apart and I found a bluetoothmodule with this text on it:
CSR
1010 (last 0 might be a "Q")
A05U
419AG
Now I'm struggeling with identyfying the bluetoothmodule on there, can somebody please help me?
Currently Im trying to trace all the lines but can't do that because I still didn't got my solderingstation to desolder the BTModule and the battery case.

It is obviously made by CSR - www.csr.com. Look for whatever information you can find there.

They are not known for being hobby-friendly. I'm pretty sure they will need an NDA before they will give you anything. And now being part of Qualcomm, it will get even worse.

ATMega328 makes me think that this thing has some Arduino roots.

Have you tried to read out the firmware? Is device locked?

I tried but havent got there... the Programmerheader has a pretty small pin pitch and I
A) Don't have a connector for it and
B) Its hard to connect it to my AVR ISP II without shorting out everything...

Look for a BT LE module on ebay and I expect you will find it.
I expect the 328 runs a arduino sketch which talks to the BT unit over AT commands or HCI, or something else, and then modulates an IR signal out of the IR LED

It looks to essentially be a BT LE to IR translator

With the possibilities I got at home I'm already struggling with the 50mil connector. The whole thing is about 30x30mm big.

On the Module itself not exept the labes on the labes on the pins, and a label on the PCB: "BT_4.0" well... helps not so much.

I would be happy if I could get a pinout diagramm for this module... I got the power supply and the UART bus pins, I hope I get my solderingstation soon so I can attach there a few cables and read out that protocoll.

The first one "hits the nail on the head" (literally translated from ther german). I actually looked on google and on the csr website for it but couldnt find it...
