Poor fella, I sure hope he manages it and does not create antigravity or dark matter by accident.
Well, I for one fervently hope he
does create anti-gravity. And dark matter, all at the same time. Although if he creates dark matter while planning to do so it's probably no longer dark matter.
Besides that, 100% depending on what dictionary you want to use either we already have "free energy" or we will never ever have it by very definition.
I mean, solar panels result in "free" energy for a sufficiently adjusted value of free. If you use one resource to produce another, then presumably it is no longer free? So if you use a magic device to harvest energy from the quantum vacuum of doom thereby altering the very fabric of time and space, then presumably it is not "free" due to this alteration. Or it is free, but then burning fossil fuel resulting from vewy vewy old plants that hitched a ride on solar power of eons past is also "free".
Time for some free tea with free honey.
