After successfully proof of the idea, we intend to write an article in some technology magazine (like IEEE) and to try to bring the project in the production phase

I must confess, that dude is at least a somewhat creative nutshot. If I understand correctly, he wants to use floating EEPROM gates as capacitor to power stuff. LOL

At least not the usual idiot with strange circuit with coils, magnets, a cheap voltmeter, 9V battery and cables running to nowhere :). Not a single word of free energy or conspiracy theories. :-+
But he's too creedy, 80000CAD is way too much :palm:, he'll never find enough idiots. For that, or for even more, you'll need a clock that beams darkness instead of light :)

Not exactly - he even set it in bold:

Looks like Duracell are joining in on this scam: :P

Duracell Quantum batteries

(On a side note, the "quantum" name aside, this is some amazing marketing rubbish -- what this ad technically says is that their battery is less than 35% longer lasting compared to the next most popular alkaline battery by sales volume, i.e., undoubtedly a super-cheap battery that probably costs less than half what these batteries cost...)

I strongly dislike cells with the "gas gauge" on the side. It tells me that the cell is a worthless marketing fluff inspired product.

The problem is alkaline battery technology hasn't changed much in the last 10-20 years. Virtually all alkaline batteries perform within 10-20% of their competitors, so if you have to use disposable cells, use the cheapest alkalines.

Duracell 9V batteries though are different. They are the only brand that will work for more than a week in a Gardena plant watering timer. They do typically 6 months per unit.

The only differentiator between the other alkaline cells is the warranty, I generally just but Eveready ones, they last about the same length of time, and are just as prone to leak as the more expensive ones.

If a product is that fussy about the battery brand, it's a poor design.

I know that Mike, but people buy the Gardena unit because it is the only one that you fit to the tap, without having to shell out the extra cash for the bigger mains powered units that water an entire garden acreage automatically. Basically the cheap Rainbird.

Quantum Energy is dangerous! Why do people mess around on earth when we have the Pegasus-Galaxy to play around with that technology and blow up star systems in the process?
