There is no technical problem with it. The question is how they'll figure it out with banks for EMV to work. Other issue is that similar cards in the past caused funny looks and misunderstandings at the points of sale.
no technical problems?
BTLE in that form factor? I doubt it.
Location tracking and remote wipe? once it's out of BTLE range how would you do that? Unless they are calling location tracking asking your credit card company where the card was last used and remote wipe simply disabling the card if not connected to your phone for
hours.
also I don't think the energy density for a lithum ion battery in that form factor is there. Lithium Iion is about 200-600 Wh/L 0.8mm thick, minus minimum plastic for structure and battery packaging doesn't leave much room.
But, in any case, I asked so that people might throw out some actual technical knowledge rather than blanket "it doesn't have any technical problems"
Their design images appear to show flex circuitry with actual chips on board which would be way too thick, what other methods of direct incorporation of the die onto flex would work well?
Also their domain name was registered in April, and there is no contact information anywhere which is always fishy.
however, they must be legit as there are other ones out there like Plastc, and COIN...
