I never realised I need one of those until now.

It is tempting, but an issue I see is the requirement to have suitable consistent lighting for the duration, which is likely to be a long time. That sort of restricts where it could be located.

High res 3d scanners are still very expensive nowdays. $1000 for good scanner? Need to check it, thx for info
