Turris lite-->Realy good opensource router
« on: September 11, 2015, 12:15:34 pm »
as 1st i want to apologize... i do not saw a open source part of forum . (so move it somebody because i can not even delete it) and judge me for that ! :D

But! there is one realy good router https://lite.turris.cz/en/ it is lite version of turris 1.1 ( wich was given for free ( with one small "problem", you have to do not power of during 3 year, because CZ.NIC colect packet headers and do statistic, measure speed of net and so on)

but you can buy turris lite ( where  data colection is optional) it is based on open software (openwrt wich have auto updates and it is improved by cz.nic) and it is open hardware https://www.turris.cz/en/hardware  and you can mod it !
and power of that and what it can do is simply "brutal" you can run DVB-T stream server on it :D and on top of it it is well secured

i have turris ver1.0 that was Czech-made and i do not exatly know about 2nd ver. 1.1  But even 1st version is realy good thing for moding and hobbyist*  so please do not take it as promotion... but as recomend of one ineresting opensource project, wich was in some way crowd funded.
P.s. sorry my mistakes in gramar or other mistakes. I am not native English writer.

*there are people wich control whole house with that and monitor many things with 1-wire sensors
