uStepper S Line - Kickstarter campaign now live !
« on: August 15, 2018, 03:24:42 pm »
Hi,

uStepper is a compact combination of an arduino, a high resolution encoder and a stepper motor driver, fitting directly on the back of a Nema17 stepper motor.

The uStepper was first introduced in 2015 where it was funded on kickstarter, and since then, we have received great feedback on the product, and have now decided to make a whole new generation of the uStepper, with different variants to choose from !

the new generation - the uStepper S Line, has just been launched on kickstarter, and has gotten a great deal of upgrades, based on customer feedback over the past three years.

Go check out the campaign, using the following link, and get much more information on the project !

Good price and looks like a clean design.

Although I went with the nano zero. Instead of a traditional driver it uses A4954 full bridge motor driver: https://www.allegromicro.com/en/Products/Motor-Driver-And-Interface-ICs/Brush-DC-Motor-Drivers/A4954.aspx

You can find some useful hardware modifications here: https://github.com/thmjpr/nano_stepper/
The encoder (AS5047D) and driver are not cheap though. AS5600 looks like better value.
