Hierarchy Resdef Silkscreen Customization
« on: June 15, 2015, 08:22:26 pm »
I'm using a hierarchy blocks to copy and paste layout.

The way the program resdefs each component  is by putting an underscore and index number for the group from the hierarchy block.

If you have 3 hierarchy blocks with R23 you'll have R23_1, R23_2 and R23_3

Is there a way to renumber so there are 3 R23? I can renumber from the pcb layout but that renumbers every component from the top left corner of the board. This doesn't work because when I try to back annotate in the schematic editor throws an error that there are multiple resdefs for the hierarchy components.

You can not have 3 R23 in the schematic file. Every resistor is unique. You could use R123 for first hierarchy block, R223 for second block, R323 for third and so on.
