Where is DipTrace HQ?
« on: October 05, 2012, 11:11:44 pm »
Hi, Was interested to know where DipTrace is actually based, couldn't find the information on their website.  I have the 500 pin student version.  I sent them an email from my university email account to ask what info they would require for me to prove I was a student and they responded a couple of hours later with the key!  I actually missed the email coming in because I thought it would take a day or so.   I'm guessing they are in central Europe because I received their reply at 7:50 PM NZDT which would be about 9 AM in Eastern Europe.  Of course they may be USA based and just open 24 hours a day.  Cheers, Chris

They are based in Dnepropetrovsk in the Ukraine.
Coincidentally, the Ukraine is where many of the Altium programmers are now based.

That's because altium and many software/hardware development environments are pirated there :)

It's actually because you can't get any good and cheap and loyal programmers in China, as they ultimately found out  ;D
If they are cheap, they aren't any good.
If they are good, they don't work cheap and don't stick around.

Here is the address: http://www.novarm.com/contacts/

Many companies are based here because of high-skilled and cheap workers. In Dnepropetrovsk there are SolidWorks and MS development offices, also many big game, niche software, outsource, web-development companies (with US headquarters or as partnerships with local owners). Maybe a half or 1/3 of Dnepropetrovsk's young men are IT guys :)

If my memory serves me well, Nick was the CEO of Altium.
