Compute trace size within Eagle?
« on: March 12, 2014, 04:30:05 am »
Whenever I need to figure out a trace width I switch to the browser and google up some random online trace width calculator.

Is there a less, erm, ghetto way of doing this in Eagle?  It's gotta be easy to use though...  A quick & dirty cmd line ULP probably wouldn't be any nicer than bouncing out to the browser.

Maybe something that would pop a dialog where I could specify that I have 1oz copper on an outer layer moving 2A, and I'd like less than a 10 degree temperature increase, then it would set the trace width to 80 mil.

No big deal, I just thought I was missing something everyone else knew.  :)
