Creating a Custom Capacitor
« on: February 13, 2012, 12:12:17 am »
Hey Forum,
So I am in the process of making a library and I am trying to make a capacitor.  Well when I get all done and add it to the schematic, it labels it as U$22, and not as C22.  How can I change it so it thinks it is a capacitor and not a U device?

In the device editor window, there's a 'Prefix' button on the right-hand side (under the list of package variants) -- click that and you should be able to specify 'C' so that instances get named C1, C2 etc. by default.
