Difference in footprit
« on: August 10, 2017, 04:58:08 pm »
Hello, so I am designing something (RGB LED matrix), and as I am using some common anode RGB LEDs I found a SparkFun library that has them.

So in the library the footprint has some space in between the pads, but on the pcb they are touching together.

Why is it different and how can I fix this.

Hi R4v3n5,

I hope you're doing well. You are getting bit by restring, this is relatively common. You basically have to adjust the restring settings on your board to allow your library settings to win and take effect.

For a full explanation see this blog post:https://www.autodesk.com/products/eagle/blog/what-you-didnt-know-about-eagle-restring/

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

Best Regards,

Thanks, Jorge!

Quick note: In the explanation you linked to, the images for figures 2 and 3 need to be swapped to make the text even clearer.  ;)
