Formating of dimension tool
« on: October 11, 2016, 08:33:18 pm »
Is there a way to control how the dimension tool locates the dimension number?

As can be seen in the attached image, some of the dimensions overlap. Is there a way to force the 112mil measurement to appear on the left side and the 275mil measurement to appear outside the dimension instead of inside?

Yes if you click on the dimension ..right click/properties.   You can edit where the lines measures from and to as well as where the lines extend to and offset etc of measurement.  Just have a play you'll work it out quickly.
I'd forget my Head if it wasn't screwed on!

Close, but not quite. Those options can effect how it looks, but it does not control the location of the measurement. For example, having the 112mil measurement appear on the left of the measurement instead of the right and the associated 275mil value appearing outside the measurement instead of inside.

Unfortunately, it's looking like this isn't an option. I think it should still be readable enough for my mechanical engineer.
