Library with all footprints
« on: June 30, 2013, 07:20:15 am »
Hi,

do you know, is there any library with just IC standard footprints?
I am making a lot of own components cause it is easy and fast. But each time I need to search through another libraries to find same package. Would be really easy to have library with just a standard footprints. Then you can simply copy to your library what you need.

I generally just find the manufacturers footprint and hack together something with it...

I like to make the footprints myself, and found that the people making datasheets like to make you work for your measurements, so I made this excel sheet.

It only does dip, and smd chips with pins on two sides (so no TQFP).

Might be of use :)
