Sounds like they expect it to help them earn money and market share.  Rising competition from Arrow?

Came out quite a while ago (roughly a year?), sadly they don't offer a way for me to add a line item to my order which is "give me footprint & symbol for this part", I know there's services which do, but I'm already buying from Digikey anyway.
