eagle measurement backwards

whenever i try to use the measurment tool in eagle for board design, the numbers are backwards in all directions.

attached picture for example. how can i fix this?

Switch to TOP layer (layer 1)

Edit: For the measurement, even if item is on bottom
Edit2: Or any layer that is natively top, e.g., info, dimension, and so forth.
