Filter Wiz Pro
« on: April 25, 2023, 12:00:23 pm »
I bought this excellent filter design software 20 years ago. Unfortunately my copy has disappeared with changes in computers, etc. The latest version is available for download from several sites, however is locked and does not give component values for a design. The company that sold this software, Schematica.com, has disappeared completely. The web site no longer exists, and I have tried emails to the owner at two addresses. Both bounced.

Does anyone have a working copy of this software? I think that there is a registration file that has to be pasted into the main program.

This was by far the best active filter design software available at any price. It is a real pity that the owner did not make it available free  if he no longer wanted to sell it.

Have you tried playing around with Ghidra/Relyze/binaryninja?

Filter Wiz Lite 1.27 runs great in Linux WINE, nice GUI for filter design.
The license terms state that some capacitor values may be missing in the final design, need to register to fix it - but I haven't seen that in the few designs I tried. Of course you can't register anymore.
