Reference book for PCB layout?
« on: May 30, 2018, 08:35:53 pm »
Hello,

I just finished my degree in electronics engineering, and I'll be starting on my first real job in a month or so, where I will be doing some PCB layout (and other tasks).

I have some experience doing PCB layout already, but I want to get better.

So the question is:
Can any of you recommend some book to use as a reference for doing PCB layout (if such a thing exists), or can you recommend other litterature, which outlines the dos and don'ts?

I guess something a bit more concree and closer to what you're looking for would be Howard Johnson's  High Speed Digital Design: A Handbook of black magic. You have basically everuthing you nees there,  from doo's and don'ts to examples and calculations.

Also try looking at his other book(s)

"Right the First Time, A Practical Handbook on High Speed PCB and System Design, Volume 1"

There is also a Volume 2.
