I'm learning how to use my DS1000Z scope with the Ds6k board. The DS6K has a Rare Abnormal Signal which is a 1MHz square wave with a narrow pulse of < 5ns every 100ms. The instruction from the manual states:
"Set the trigger type to “Edge”, the trigger mode to “Single”, the horizontal time base to 5ns, the waveform capture rate to 180kHz, the memory depth to “Auto”. Set the persistence time to 20s and the capture result of abnormal signal is as shown in the figure below."
I'm following the manual for the demo board and I am not able to catch the 5ns pulse. I can set the waveform capture rate and the persistance time is either 10 sec. or infinite. Any suggestions on how to set up a DS1000Z to catch it?
Thanks,
